REED WARD, Licensed Educational Psychologist

Reed has over fifteen-years experience conducting Psycho-Educational evaluations.  In 2007, Reed completed his Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology and began working as a School Psychologist.  His desire to enhance his understanding of how learning works and how it may break-down, lead him to pursue post-graduate studies.  In 2010, after successful completion of a reputable competency-based program (www.schoolneuropsych.com), he became certified through the American Board of School Neuro-Psychology.  The training he obtained has added to a strong passion for the profession, and for continued learning in the field.

As Reed began putting into practice his advanced training, it became apparent how comprehensive assessments are beneficial to truly understand an individual’s academic needs, and for the development of “targeted” recommendations. After several more years of service in the public school setting, Reed sought to further utilize his expertise by also doing work in private practice.

In 2014, Reed became a “Licensed Educational Psychologist” through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. This has given him the opportunity to also help clients in private practice. In this setting, he has been able to be more thorough in assessments than is often possible to do in the schools because of time constraints.  Reed’s love of learning about the current research and sciences related to learning, have helped him better understand the needs of clients he serves. It has been his goal to help each individual feel good about their unique strengths and challenges, while gaining an understanding of how they may improve skills in learning-related pursuits.
